Parenting with a Purpose
By Godswill & Oluchi Israel
(Children’s Pastors from Nigeria, Africa)
A plant cultured and nurtured to grow vertically, will not grow horizontally except where the conditions made for its growing vertically is hampered on or changed. To avoid this, the farmer has to always check on the plant constantly and by so doing monitor and correct any anomalous in the growing behavior of the young plant.
It has been discovered, by educationists in the field of child development, that most of a child’s life formation is made within ages 0 and 12 (Nurman 1966). This has been tested over some periods of time, and even presently, it is observed to be true. With the afore-mentioned ages, the child is very much reliable on his parents or guardian. The child expects to be fed with all that he needs to be readily useful and acceptable in the society.
