Check-Out Line
I was listening to the Wally Show pod cast and this topic
came up: “How do you pick which line you
want to go through for check out”?
The discussion was centered on how fast you can get through
the check-out line. Wally told of an incident
when he allowed a mother to go in front of him because he noticed she only had
a few item. After she got in front of
him, her son pushed a cart full of groceries to her position. Wally found a different line.
That question caused me to think about our Thursday experiences. We take the kids grocery shopping. Aaron & Tristan tells everyone they’re in
the Cash Cab. Cody demands the blue
shopping cart and Aliah is content to sit in the front seat. We always start with this statement to all
the kids: “Stay in the cart and you can get a candy at the end.”
When it comes to the check-out lane we don’t pick the
fastest line. We pick the line that has a
friendly checker. We have our
favorite. She wants to know about the
kids. She interacts with Aaron. Last week she showed him the automatic shut
off and how it works. He’s an expert at
it now.
