Teri Jendusa-Nicolai has a story of the most extreme case of domestic abuse. Her husband, David Larsen, on Jan. 31, 2004, kidnapped Teri, taped her head and hands, sealed her in a garbage can that was partly filled with snow and placed her in a storage unit to die.
Because of the incident, Teri lost all of her toes and miscarried her baby.
This happened three years after their divorce and while she was picking up her kids. (A judge ordered split custody, even though he was aware of the physical abuse conducted upon Teri by her husband.)
I listened to her speak last night and it was an eye-opener. Before she spoke we watched a twenty minute 20/20 show.
She now speaks in order to change laws and help women of domestic violence.
