Let’s take a look at how the news has reported sexual misconduct.
1. A President has a sex act performed on himself while in the White House and continues as President.
1. A President has a sex act performed on himself while in the White House and continues as President.
2. A powerful leading Democrat, former Speaker of the House, is discovered to have, while a coach and teacher molested at least two boys. (Understandable if you’ve not heard this because it was only reported on one or two days.)
3. A teenage boy is curious, and while his victims sleep he explores. (Not all incidents though.) This runs in the media for weeks.
Cover-up
1. President looks into camera and says, “I did not have sex with that woman.” He lies and does not have consequences other than embarrassment, but instead makes millions with a speaking tour. And his wife says she destroyed thousands of emails but later says, “found them,” and releases the Congress ordered emails a few at a time. –no outrage.
2. Leading Democrat pays millions for the victim to be silent. – no outrage.
3. The family deals with this problem and the wrong doing in-house. News media brings out the cross and wants to crucify this family – over and over again.
Borrowing a jingle from Sesame Street: “One of these three are not like the others, can you guess which one it is?”
Give yourself a round of applause if you’ve picked the third. Josh did a horrible, wrong, inexcusable thing.
The Lesson from the News media: You can do horrible things – except make a mistake while professing to be Christian.
