Lightening lit up the window, as thunder sounded, slightly waking me.
In that place between dreamland and wide awake, I heard a train.
In that place between dreamland and wide awake, I heard a train.
My brain told me that a tornado sounds like an approaching train. Now fully awake, I looked out of the window. Rain poured down, the sky lit up like the fourth of July and cracks of thunder sounded.
And the train got louder. Fear struck me.
As I continued to look, the storm played out right outside my window. I heard a whistle blow in the midst of the bending trees.
Then I heard metal clanking. It was a real train, so I went back to sleep.
