Did Noah take mosquitoes on the ark?
It is unlikely that Noah took any insects on the ark, for he was to take two of every animal with the “breath of life” in it. In Genesis 7:22 it is clear that the animals that died were those with “the breath of life in its nostrils.” Since insects breathe through their abdomens, they do not fit in this category, therefore they may have survived the flood on their own. Many insect eggs can live for long periods of time in water.
